3-seat bench
Madame Taconeo
Longer than the two-seat version, this bench offers a wider span, where several points of support can now answer one another from end to end. This version comes closer to the “compás”, the shared tempo that binds any flamenco cuadro and imposes its rhythm on several dancers at once. The bench, an object static by definition, takes on another symbolic meaning here; it is a seat that no longer waits for a single impulse but for an accord, ready to celebrate life by stamping its feet in unison.

One of the good surprises of the two-seat Madame Taconeo was how robust its seat proved: there was so much room to lengthen it that it would have been a shame not to use it. Seeing the three-seat version is in fact what made us add a few centimetres back to the two-seat, for a still finer visual balance.
What took the longest, surprisingly, was the tip of each of the twenty-two legs. No drawing, not even in 3D, could settle it: the detail had to be seen for real. In the atelier the artisan cut variant after variant, one tip more tapered, another rounder, a third almost straight, lining them up side by side under the designer's eye. Only after several rounds of this, begun again leg after leg, did the right shape finally emerge.
