On this table, the name Héraclite finds another echo. Its structure seems to be in motion, taut, alive; panta rhei, everything flows. Here the base does not hide itself; it is on show, like a fair tension between stability and flux. In its lines, an arrow, a dynamic, a discreet echo of the bow and the lyre: a held form, which carries the eye as much as the top. A table where structure becomes thought.

Héraclite began life as a writing desk. Its first prototype proved so obviously robust that it made us want to design a dining table too, on an entirely different scale.
This table carries over the same decisions that had signed the first piece: an arrow-shaped junction between base and frame, agreed unanimously within seconds, and a chamfered cap edge closing the top. Changing scale did call for one adjustment of its own: to bring out the goldsmith's work of the base, a steeper chamfer was tried for the first time on this top. The result convinced everyone at once, and that chamfer has since been carried back to the writing desk as well.
