From scientific studies to the ateliers of the Compagnons du Devoir, Victor Levecq has always followed one thread: the passion for building. His Tour de France taught him the rigour of heritage work and the diversity of gestures, before a year's immersion in Japan overturned his view of wood, of the tool and of the material.
A researcher in Italy on complex joinery, then a trainer for the Compagnons, Victor also refined his artistic culture at the Fondation de Coubertin. Today he embodies a living, free joinery aboard Vita Nova, his itinerant barge-atelier: with his Kinoko workshop, he travels to pass on his craft and to create works where beauty meets usefulness, made to last a lifetime.
A pioneer of the B.fabers adventure, he brings to it his researcher's eye and his passion for homegrown solid wood.
