Born in the Netherlands and shaped by many years in Milan, Huub Ubbens is a figure of European design. Former design director at Artemide and at Danese Milano, he brings to the object a gaze informed by anthropology.
For Huub, an object should remain imperfect, so as to leave everyone room to find their own reading of it and to form an intimate, lasting relationship with it. He brings B.fabers a creative direction where spareness meets function, where history meets the contemporary, working hand in hand with Gilles Malhaize to turn every technical constraint into an aesthetic signature.
Designer of the collection, he brings to it an international outlook and a search for the object able to outlast fashion.
