Heir to the Forests

Prologue

Gaëtan Gesserand

« Cette collection n'est pas née dans un bureau de style. Elle est née de rencontres. »

Portrait of Gaëtan Gesserand

For Gaëtan, cabinetmaking is a matter of roots. A Compagnon du Devoir for ten years, he travelled across France to master every facet of wood before joining the family atelier, of which he is the fourth generation.

His particularity is a rare one: Gaëtan selects and fells his own trees in the forest, respecting natural balances. The pieces he shapes for B.fabers carry a century-old story, the solid wood he works today having often been selected and set to dry by his father or his grandfather.

The first artisan to join the adventure, he brings his patience and his rigour to the first series of the first collection.
